What a night! Nearly 300 people came along to a sold-out fireworks event hosted by Frome Nursing Home in Somerset, where residents, fondly referred to as family members, joined neighbours and the team to enjoy an evening filled with colour, community and excitement.

There were market stalls from local businesses in and around Somerset, offering sweets, toys and gift bags. The tombola sold out quickly, and the BBQ ran throughout the evening with meat supplied by Hunts Food Group (who have been established since 1912!).

As 7pm approached, everyone made their way to watch the display. Family members, children and visitors looked to the sky as the first firework went up, filling the night with colour. The care homes conservatory area gave family members the best VIP views, while the fairground rides outside stayed busy, with the clown ride particularly popular as children walked away with prizes.

Throughout the evening, team members were on hand to support family members, making sure anyone who chose to stay indoors remained comfortable and included in the event.

The event proved so popular that it reached full capacity and to keep everyone safe some disappointed visitors had to be turned away as queues gathered outside. Events like this are an integral part of the Frome community, bringing people together and strengthening the connection between the home and the town. Frome Nursing Home extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, as well as to the volunteers and team.
